WE are Maurice's family: his parents, Claudia and Ronny, grandpa Bernd, grandma Eva, aunt Kathrin, cousins Sean and Dean and his "brother" Philipp.

Maurice wanted to become a teacher, maybe even in Bali...
He has shared his incredible joy of having arrived there,
his enthusiasm for the people and the country - carried us away,
we listened to his stories, laughed with him, chatted with him, discussed with him, his drive to help immediately - moved us and convinced us,
his look into the future - was so full of life, he still wanted to achieve so much…
Therefore WE founded the association "Maurice Burkert e. V.". In his spirit WE want to continue what was so close to Maurice's heart: equal educational opportunities for all children.

We are all volunteers, so that the donations go 1:1 to the Bintang Timur School. Due to the close personal contact to Ibu Susan, Claudia and Ronny are always close to the school and know of its current needs. What is the money missing for, which children need support from a sponsor, which building projects for the school need to be planned, etc.
