As previously announced, we've launched our largest project since the founding of our association: expanding and enhancing the school with a new extension. Demolition of parts of the old building began in late February to make way for a two-story addition. The new space will include a much-needed first aid room, teachers' lounge, storage, and toilets. The total project cost, including planning, demolition, and construction, is estimated at €22,500 and will be completed in two phases. The first phase, costing €13,000, covers demolition and construction of the first floor, which is fully funded by donations. Additional funds are urgently needed to complete the second floor. Join us in ensuring more children have access to education. In memory of Maurice, we extend our heartfelt gratitude for your support.

I hope I find you all are well , I believe in this situation we should be grateful as we still continue our life.

By this letter, on behalf of Bintang Timur School I would like to say thank you so much for all your kindness and support for our children, as the condition in Bali is worse due to the pandemic.
However, the school must go and children also much comes to school, and this is not a choice for them,

The children at school also have a decreas number, before the pandemic we had 205 children ,now we only have 138 children.

Dear members, sponsors and supporters,

we hope you had a pleasant summer and a relaxing vacation!

We have used the summer break to make our organization a bit more well known, in order to find more supporters.

A big surprise came in the form of a campaign by the active fan scene of 1. FC Union Berlin (a local football club), which was led by the ultra group "Hammerhearts 04". Limited edition shoes sporting the design of the club were made available for purchase through a lottery draft and thanks to the help of two amazing people, who donated their shoes to us, we were able to auction them off, with the proceeds being donated to us by the Hammerhearts 04. Together with other private donations we reached an amount in the low four-digit range!!!

Due to these donations we were able to realize yet another goal of ours. In June 2021, two air conditioners were bought and installed inside the classrooms, with two new ones being on their way as of August 2021. The photos document the first part of the project.

In a few days we will also give you an update about the current situation in Bali, the status of the godparenthoods and our membership numbers.

New project started and completed!

Thanks to your great support we were able to start another project.

The installation of a canopy, which was urgently needed, was able to be carried out. For this purpose a steel construction was made and installed over the entrance of a classroom. A sheet of corrugated metal was attached to this construction, so that the classroom is now prevented from heating up too much due to direct sunlight. Both teaching and learning are now much more comfortable.

Yes, you read correctly. Through structured planning and organization on site, we were able to start the project and complete it in a few days. Should the schools in Bali be allowed to re-open in July 2021, we will report back to you with the reactions of the children and teachers.

We are proud and thankful for every supporter and the people who implement the projects on site.

It is done!

Our first big project in Bintang Timur School has been successfully completed. Through the numerous photos you could follow the work and see how the securing of the stairs by the railing, the tiling work and the construction of a roof was completed within a short time.

We would like to thank all our supporters once again, because you have made it possible for us to tackle this project together with Susan and her staff.

The joy and the pride as well as you all at our side, is what drives us to tackle such projects in the future.

Urgently needed expansion of the staircase to the 1st floor can now finally be realized!

We would like to inform you today that the expansion of the stairs leading to the 1st floor is in full swing.

The stairs to the 1st floor could not be used until now, because it was too dangerous for the children due to lack of safety precautions. Now the stairs will be tiled and both a railing and two roofs will be installed for sun and rain protection.

Costs of € 1,475.00 were estimated for the project. This donation amount was reached within a very short time. The work is progressing rapidly and can be completed shortly.

We are so thrilled that we can already handle such a project!!! This was only possible because of your numerous donations and support.

We would like to thank you very much for your donations. It makes us happy to see how many people contribute to make education possible for the children of the Bintang Timur School.
